Richard is a patron of the local subway station.

We recorded on February 29th and July 8th of 2016. We didn't meet to record until a year later on July 28th then August 15th and 31st of 2017.

I don't know why the fourth recording sounds compressed.

Because of the news the day before the recording, I felt it was necessary to attend a rally and hear what people had to say. This is my first episode in which multiple people are featured.

Just south of Washington Square Park I came across Angel who wanted money for the bus.

Her writing was posted on a pole near Tompkins Square Park. We met in that park.

A folded yellow sign on a table in Bryant Park read "Care to discuss God? Discussion only! No argumentation, please!" Carlos' sign attracted discussion from the likes of Michael and Neftali.

Josh was by the entrance of my local subway station. We went to a diner.

Taylor is a regular in my local subway station. I pass him on my way back and forth from work. I planned on talking to him for 5 minutes a day every day for a week, but it became a handful of visits over the course of a year. Our third meeting's recording is chopped up because someone called my phone and I left to get his crumb cake.

The artwork is from February 5, 2017. I went to get him ham, Swiss cheese, and mustard on a roll and a coffee with half and half and 3 sugars. I came back to find his art in place of where he sat.

We met on January 19th, 27th, February 4th, March 1st, and December 19th of 2016.

A man who preferred to go by the pseudonym Gemini was standing by the entrance of my local subway entrance. I don't remember why the recording was so short, but there was certainly more to ask of him.

I misplaced his artwork. He wrote "I love my son."

On my stoop was Ted. I got him lunch at my local market. It began to downpour right when we left.

I misplaced his artwork which were his initials; TW, like Tiger Woods' logo as he said.

Tope and two others were recording a video in Washington Square Park. We met for coffee a week or so later.

She was in Washington Square Park with her tarot cards laid out. Our first reading was not recorded. The majority of the 7 minutes I cut out were of myself asking questions she had already answered. I'm a good listener.

The Phantom was standing by the long line for the Bernie Sanders rally in the Bronx. Uncloaked, Ricky and I recorded two days later north of the reservoir in Central Park. He talked for another half hour afterward. It was cold and windy. Sorry about the wind.

I had thought Matthew was Taylor, someone else I had been talking to, when I first approached him. My plan was to talk to him over the course of a week, but it became erratically scheduled. At the end of the third recording, the coffee I got him began leaking.

We met on February 1st, 2nd, 5th, 10th, and 24th.

I met Willie while getting ice cream with my family. He helped my mom parallel park. I offered to buy him ice cream, but he wanted coffee instead.

I bumped into him on the same street some weeks later. I got him pizza. I cut the interview short when I was told I would see him again for a second part and art work.

I didn't know how much time my father had left despite how durable he proved himself to be over the years. Thinking he was going to recover from his recent surgery, there was going to be at least a Part 2. My father passed in June 2015.

Because of the laid back nature of my father and I, I chose to listen more than to ask follow up questions. I would record for a while, listen back to think of more questions, then record again. The first 5 and a half minutes was not originally meant to be published as it was just for my foundation for questions.

I regret where our discussion ended and I regret not taking advantage of the numerous opportunities I had to record more of my father. The full recording is unedited.

Two weeks before, Stephan needed money for the bus. I gave him a dollar. We crossed paths again and I got us something to eat. I made the mistake once again of recording in a noisey restauraunt, a restauraunt that wasn't familiar or comfortable to him. The less noisier part (36 minutes in) takes place in Stephan's restaurant of choice.

I heard of Roy through one of my favorite podcasts. We met in Brooklyn.

I was bummed in Washington Square Park. It was cold and dark and I couldn't find anyone to talk to. I heard a voice call for me by the fountain. I'm very happy Tree found me.

I was meaning to make it to Washington Square Park, but I missed my stop and got off at Union Square. There I met Steven. I felt like an idiot thinking I was going to get him to a restaurant. He couldn't make it all the way up the two flights of stairs. I forgot to get him his orange soda.

Sometime in August I was walking home and came across a rally in a park and met Eyad there. He had a megaphone.

Her artwork was in a movie theater I like to go to.

Grimm was hanging out around the corner from where I live. I was looking for someone like him in Albany.

My interest initially was to contact someone from a specific troll community. A follower of that community directed me to a friend of his that is now retired from trolling.

Larry was the first person I had hoped to interview. I met him in August of 2013 and he had me hold a pigeon. I regret that I did not get a drawing from him for the album artwork.

I became aware of Shishaldin through one of my favorite podcasts. We mention the host of the show a few times during the interview. We met on a rainy day.

I found John online through his YouTube videos and his church's web site. He has his street address and phone number public. While I was visiting my father in Florida, I realized he lived 15 miles away. I got in touch with him the day before meeting.

At the age of 16, I attempted my first professional interview. My grandfather told amusing stories a night or so before the recording over drinks. He passed in June 2011.
 
I kept pausing the recording so I could ask questions. Back then, I didn't like the sound of my voice. At the 13 minute mark I switched the speed of the recording device. I abruptly ran out of tape and continued another 4 minutes on the other side.
